Parking lots can settle because of the Minnesota weather conditions and contaminated sub-grades, this will cause a fluctuation of grades, settlement of the curb and gutters, cause sidewalks and apron to crack and deteriorate. By shooting grade elevation we can determine if your parking lot has a proper grade to maintain surface water run off. A 2% grade for asphalt parking lots is recommended. Concrete can carry a 1% grade to a catch basin or curb and cutter. If there is insufficient drainage often a catch basin may be required. This will direct the surface water to an existing storm sewer or holding pond. APPLICATION for CATCH BASINS:
